After having enough of singing in front of a crowd of intoxicated pub-goers coupled with myriad evenings watching his favourite bands perform, Sye decided to make good of his dreams• Under the guidance of well-known teacher, New Yorker Steve Ostrow, he developed his vocal talents•
in 1996, Sye found himself on stage as a back-up singer for INXS at the Aria Awards; his first big break in the music industry•
Recently, he won best performer at the World's Biggest Busk held at Sydney's Bondi Beach and then went on to perform on the Kerri- Anne Show•••• In a wedding dress!

Touring with hard rock outfit Kill The Capitol for five years, x-frontman Sye McRitchie has shared the stage with bands such as The Used, Killswitch Engage, Rise Against, Story of The Year, Funeral For A Friend, Sum 41 and worked alongside legend LA producer Sylvia Massey (accolades include Foo Fighters, System of A Down, Tool, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Johnny Cash, Prince).
Closer to home, Sye has played alongside COG, The Butterfly Effect, Mammal, Children Collide, Parkway Drive, Dead Letter Circus, Grinspoon & Shihad, as well as playing numerous tours, events and festivals including performing to 30 000 for The Crusty Demons of Dirt “Night of World Records” in 2007/08, to 12 000 on the Taste of Chaos Tour at Acer Arena and playing the Come Together Festival.
Venues graced include The Annandale, The Excelsior, The Hopetoun, The Landsdowne, The Gaelic Club, The Manning Bar, Ent Cent (Sydney), Acer Arena, Melbourne Speedway and Brisbane Speedway and internationally at the Viper Room (LA), Beauty Bar (Las Vegas) , Double Down (Las Vegas) and the Van’s Warped Tour (LA) including the Hollywood Bowl.
Sye has collaborated with numerous musicians, including performing with INXS as a back up vocalist at the prestigious Australian ARIA Awards.
Recent shows include Bondi Winter Music Festival 2011, the LoveJam Festival, 34 Degrees South, The Royale, Hybernian House, Tatler, Tailors on George, The Beach Road Hotel, Favela, Sydney Fringe Festival Club, White Revolver, the Beresford Hotel, Spectrum Buckler’s Canteen and many venues through out Sydney.
2011 Japan tour saw Sye play shows at the Garage in Shimokitazawa and The Blue Moon in Kyoto. Closer to home Sye played alongside Tex Perkins at Federal Hall during his 8 show North Coast November Tour including shows at Buderim Tavern, Nimbin Hotel, The Treehouse, Buddha Bar, Gollan Hotel and two shows at Peats Ridge Festival.
Currently Sye is recording his solo work and working towards releasing his single. He has played a number of shows with Earth2audiO in 2012 including Beach Road, Sandringham Hotel, Annandale Hotel, 34 Degrees South, The Lansdowne Hotel and World Bar.
Recent shows include White Revolver, The Newsagency with Brendan Maclean, The Townie with B-Massive and Bondi Beach.
